Vitae Financial Recruitment is seeking an experienced and immediately available Interim Group Accountant to join this rapidly growing international retail business based in Hertfordshire. We are seeking someone with previous experience gained within a Listed business environment.
The role will work closely with the Finance Director and Group Financial Controller to deliver a full suite of statutory, financial and management reporting outputs, ensuring these are insightful and accurate sets of accounts and reports; completed on time, with no surprises.
Key duties will include;
*Timely review and completion of the group statutory financial statements.
*Help map out key processes and controls across the globe.
*Managing the month-end process, ensuring the monthly close is delivered efficiently with no surprises.
*Support to the Group Financial Controller in ensuring the results are reviewed in a timely manner.
*Review of cash flow forecasts and analysis.
*Helping to roll out new financial systems, ensuring their interface to trading systems is robust and "best in class" for the quality and timeliness of its internal and external reporting.
*Half year and full year requirements for Group audits.
*Assist with the implementation of treasury policies and processes.
*Work with Financial Planning & Analysis team for analyses, forecasting and budgeting purposes to ensure alignment of planning and actuals approach and tools.
*Assist with the development and implementation of accounting processes and procedures to strengthen internal controls, gain efficiencies and standardise business practices.
*Continuous assessment of systems in place to identify areas of enhancement, change or development.

What we are looking for;
*Qualified accountant ideally ACA / ACCA or CIMA
*Sound and relevant post-qualified experience in a Financial Accounting role
*Strong technical skills and solid experience of producing financial statements Experience of cash management, accounting operations, financial and management reporting consolidations within a UK listed company environment
*Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
*Experience interfacing with external auditors; detailed knowledge of statutory reporting requirements
