Due to continued growth my client is looking to recruit an ACA/ ACCA CTA Qualified or Part Qualified "Business Development Manager" with a strong TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE and Business Development background and understanding of the accountancy practice and tax sector

Part of a team and reporting directly to the Senior Director, you will be responsible for identifying, generating and converting new business across the North West Market and the surrounding areas. The aim will be to ensure revenue targets are achieved throughout the various product lines.

Key Responsibilities include:

Management of Personal Sales Targets

  • Be accountable for delivering the targets set by the Director
  • Closely monitor the targets against plans and budgets; report variances and respond appropriately
  • Weekly and monthly accountability to the Director. This includes Management Information, reports, budgets which show performance against forecasts and targets
  • Regularly on top of performance with a clear idea of how the individual is performing and taking appropriate action in a timely manner

Introducer Network Management

  • Take over key existing introducers
  • Sign up introducers that the individual already has relationships with
  • Standard introducer terms (tiered structure) to apply to all introducers that are signed up


Key Target List
At the start of every quarter, they have a specific target list for key clients that they would like to sign up
The individual should also have a list of existing contacts they will be targeting as part of their first step

Responsibility for establishing relationships with these key targets that will be specified in each of the main product lines below:

  • Capital Allowances
  • Property incorporations
  • Inheritance Tax Planning

Events

  • Responsibility for getting key contacts and clients at each of the main events
  • The individual to regularly attend key events on a monthly basis and to also help identify other events which may be productive to attend
  • Individual to be proactive at such events and ensure maximum value is obtained

Training

  • Full training to be provided at initial stage as well as regular on-going training on the role
  • Individual to take personal responsibility for self-development through various resources such as learning from colleagues, industry seminars, courses, qualifications and shadowing
  • Taking responsibility for learning about all the products, services and divisions within the company and ensuring this knowledge is kept up to date.


Identifying needs for each meeting

  • There will be a requirement to identify the correct person to support the individual in the meetings depending on the needs of the client and ensuring that the person is made available to attend meetings.
  • Individual still maintain the relationship with the client but the person will support from a technical perspective.
