Gleeson Recruitment Group are supporting a leading service organisation in Milton Keynes with the recruitment of a Commercial Finance Manager. The Commercial Finance Manager the role will act as a commercial partner to the business, managing and growing revenues and providing on-going advice and support in order to maintain and grow client margins. The Commercial Finance Manager will lead a team to ensure client contracts and agreements are examined and will ensure that all contracts are profitable.

The organisation are the largest in their sector and work with well-known brands worldwide with 150 offices in 130 countries. Due to significant growth, they require a proactive, driven individual who can make a positive contribution to the businesses continued success.

The Commercial Finance Manager in Milton Keynes responsibilities:

• Leading on business partnering activity where relevant including provision of analysis for use in client proposals and/or costing decisions; building and managing relationships with client procurement teams.
• Providing support for client and departmental leads in the production of challenging but realistic revenue forecasts and pro-actively highlight early warnings to potential variances in target margins to both client/department leads & finance leads.
• Understanding and managing relevant accounting and Group policies (particularly with regard to WIP and revenue recognition) and overseeing the management of WIP & billing and ensuring recovery of committed costs.
• Supporting the development of commercial acumen throughout the business to ensure the achievement of unit/account group financial targets.
• Supporting commercial teams with fee and contract negotiations for both existing and new clients
• In conjunction with the senior financial management team, defining management reporting content and format, and continuously reviewing to ensure it reflects the business structure, clients and business needs.

Is the Commercial Finance Manager in Milton Keynes right for me?

The role would suit an individual who enjoys building relationships with the business and constantly looking to improve processes and grow profitability. The role will require an individual who is at the final stages or recently Qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA with previous experience either in practice and now looking for a first step into Industry or previous experience within a fast paced environment and experience in an analytical role.

The role is offering line management experience and although it would be an advantage, previous experience is not essential. The role will require travel into London or Birmingham once a week and at busy periods (typically month end) an overnight stay in Birmingham will be needed.
