Assistant Accountant – Coventry – £22,000 - £30,000 per annum + Benefits & Study support

An accounts assistant is required for an industry leading retailer based in the Coventry area. They seek a driven and passionate individual who wants to get stuck into their qualifications whilst building a fantastic career for themselves with a well-known brand.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance analysis on key P&L accounts.
- Providing quarterly and monthly forecasting, ensuring the business is performing.
- Analysing store costs on a monthly basis ensuring the financial information is being reported accurately.
- Monitoring all overhead and looking at ways to streamline and save money.
- Identifying ways to reduce journal count to produce monthly accounts.
- Business partnering with a variety of different stakeholders within other departments.
The successful Accounts Assistant:
- Degree from University Desirable
- Currently studying ACCA/ACA/CIMA
- Core Finance skills
- Experience working within the retail or FMCG sector Desirable
