Job Description
We are recruiting to the role of Executive Director of Finance, a role which will be central in delivering our core business strategy; you will provide vision, direction and leadership to the team responsible for corporate Financial management and supporting the business in the delivery of our strategy.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be accountable for completing the transformation of the Finance function, building on existing work that is improving our structure, systems, processes and skills. You will have the opportunity to create a modern, forward-looking function based on sound commercial disciplines. You should therefore have experience of managing projects and organisational change programmes coupled with excellent communication skills across the board.
The Successful Applicant
You will hold a relevant professional qualification, with appropriate experience to match. You will be a member of the Executive Management Team and be involved in developing wider business strategy and planning in support of our evolving business strategy.
You should be an ambitious, 'can do' individual with a strong commercial skill set; experience of working in the Social Housing sector or in a similar environment would be an advantage.
You will have had exposure to a wide range of financial management best practices in all areas of the Finance function including Treasury, Income, Accounting and Business Partnering. Experience of working with property development finance would also be an advantage, as would experience of procurement. You will have worked at a senior level, leading large teams of people in a substantial organisation and have a track record of successful corporate financial management in a strongly collaborative environment.
