Practical Publishing is a market leading international media group specialising in craft magazines, e-commerce, websites and products. This rapidly growing and innovative business is poised for further growth and as a result is seeking a dynamic Management Accountant to focus on it’s ecommerce arm of the business. The successful application will join our highly skilled finance team based in our Stockport office and will be offered ongoing study support in the role. 

About the Management Accountant position:

The Management Accountant is responsible for the preparation of management accounts for Craftstash, which is the UK’s fastest growing hobbyist e-commerce business.

The Management Accountant will work closely with the Finance Manager and Financial Controller in ensuring that all reports and accounts are efficient and accurate. 

The ideal candidate will be a person with at least 2 years’ experience of working in a Management Accountant role and who is AAT / ACCA Qualified or is working towards.

It is advantageous you'll have experience of working in an e-commerce background given the nature of the business

With that in mind the ideal Management Accountant candidate will have the following skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v lookups 
• Attention to detail and the ability to produce work to a consistently high standard
• Ability to work within a team and on own initiative 
• Use of Sage Line 50

For candidates who are working towards their AAT/ACCA qualification, study support will be provided.
