Offering a potential route to Group FC level within 2-3 years, this Management Accountant's role offers a brilliant opportunity to a newly qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA accountant to take on a pivotal role within the finance team for this Bradford based sales and distribution business.
The business can boast a place embedded in British heritage and plays a key role in supporting a long established industry in the UK. This role is newly created and fills a key skill gap in the business between the Group FC and the transactional team. If the successful candidate has what it takes, they can expect to enjoy a strong upwards trajectory in their career over the next few years.
The role will primarily focus on taking on the month end responsibilities, fixed assets, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments and variance analysis and investigation. There is potential for some statutory accounts elements to be added but only if the successful candidate has the relevant experience. The role will be challenging and investigative and be an essential support to the Group FC.
The ideal fit for the business is a newly qualified or finalist level accountant with the intention to progress quickly. Management accounts experience is of primary importance whilst statutory accounts experience would be a definite bonus but not absolutely required. A self starter attitude and desire to take on an expansive role in a smaller business will be the mind set the business is looking for.
The role represents an interesting challenge at present but a fantastic opportunity for the future as well, and should be strongly considered by any newly qualified accountant looking for an opportunity with legitimate progression prospects.
