Finance Manager – Development | Up to £45,673 | Liverpool, L34 1PJ

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the Development and Capital accounting function within the First Ark Group.

Purpose of this Finance Manager - Development role:

The finance manager will provide leadership and influence to maximise the performance of the Development & Capital team in support of the Finance Team's and the Group's overall objectives.

If successful, one of your main duties as finance manager will be to provide the Group Directors and the Operational Managers expert advice and support regarding current and future Development & Capital matters. The Finance Manager will also Lead and develop a high performing Development & Capital team, offering peer leadership and challenging the Finance team to drive performance and develop a first-class internal service that is valued by colleagues and external parties.

Main duties of the Finance Manager – Development

• Ensure the Group's development programme is proactively managed and supported, incorporating:
• Capital Accounting – ensure all the Group's capital expenditure and income is accounted for and reported appropriately
• Contributions to the Group’s year end accounting and closure process
• To contribute to VAT / Corporation Tax planning and management in relation to Development activity.
• To ensure risk, control and performance are embedded within the Development & Capital Function and managed, monitored and reported in support of Group objectives.
• The Finance Manager will also identify and develop key external relationships that will enhance the provision of Finance and Treasury support activities.
