Our Finance team is looking to recruit a Cost Controller to join us and be in control of our utility costs for the retail estate, including electricity, gas, water, waste and communications.

You will ensure a smooth service delivery for our utilities and be responsible for maintaining the utilities database for all and validating invoices. You'll liaise with colleagues across the business, including Retail Managers and Building, Maintenance and Estates departments regarding utility issues and tracking queries until resolved.

About you 

The successful candidate will have previous experience of variance analysis reporting and cost control. You'll have the ability to resolve queries in a time and cost efficient manner. With excellent communication skills you'll be able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues across a multi-site organisation.

With excellent attention to detail and time management skills, you'll be able to multi-task and use your initiative to resolve issues in a calm manner. Proficient with IT systems, you will use our key finance systems, IPOS and Q+A to source key finance information and ensure details are kept up to date as needed. Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel is required. 

Working in a small team of 2 you will be a self-starter and be logically minded. You’ll have excellent communication skills, able to liaise with contacts across our retail directorate clearly and concisely ensuring key deadlines are met.
 
Please note this role is based in our Retail office in Claygate, Surrey, and there will be regular travel required between this site and our London head office.
