About the Group Tax Manager role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Group Tax Manager to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract based at our Shared Services Centre in Wakefield, working for the largest Food Manufacturer in the UK.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager who is ready for the next challenge in your career. This role is considered to be a high profile position, reporting directly into the Director of Treasury, Tax & Investor Relations. You will be responsible for managing the Group’s tax compliance, reporting and planning requirements and the role is key for forecasting the tax charge, cashflows and provisions for consolidated group budget.
As part of the role you will be required to keep up to date with changes in tax legislation, sharing knowledge with the wider business, and supporting implementation of changes required. You will also support development of the Group tax strategy and policy, improve all tax reporting processes, train and maintain relationships with divisional and local finance teams in order to build the Tax team profile within the business.

About You
- Qualified ACA or CTA with minimum 2 years post qualification experience
- Background of working in tax team in Practice or Industry
- Highly numerate
- Commercially aware
- Food/Retail and or manufacturing experience desirable
- Strong project management ability
- Experience of treasury activities
- Experience of large group
- Experience of Tax planning to support M&A activity.
