Head of Finance and Operations

This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant looking for a part time role (2.5/3 days a week) within an exciting and rewarding business. You will be heading up a brand new team and have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the business.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Working collaboratively with the Board and senior colleagues to ensure alignment with business plan objectives
• Producing and reporting to the Board on proposed annual budgets and monthly financial statements which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organisation
• Ensuring all departments operate within the approved budget, maximise resources, and maintain a positive financial position
• Preparing accurate and timely year-end information for independent audit; acting as the prime contact for audit liaison and queries; reporting to the Board on the year end audit
• Leading on reviewing and/or establishing employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation, including Facilities Management, HR and Health & Safety, GDPR, Equalities Act and other relevant regulated areas
• Ensuring operational plans and budgets are agreed and in place
• Ensuring data on performance against targets is collected, monitored and reported in an accurate and timely way
• Undertaking investment appraisals to consider buy/lease and financing options where relevant

Essential Skills:

• A Qualified Accountant with appropriate experience
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy and the ability to achieve deadlines
• Decisive, pro-active and assertive with an ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively
• Flexible in their approach to work and will meet deadlines despite obstacles

Salary £30k (pro rata) + Benefits
