Audit Manager - Professional Practice - ACCA/ACA - QBE

Your new role
A client facing role, maintaining and establishing strong relationships with a significant number of national businesses. The audit manager will work alongside other members of the firm towards the completion of key mid-tier accounts. The Key Performance Indicators will around client service delivery, efficiency and profitability will be detrimental in establishing a strong presence in the business. The audit manager will be supported by a senior member of the business, ensuring the goals and targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Involvement in all aspects of leading and delivering audit compliance, from planning to completion on a broad range of clients across a varied spectrum of industries.
- Primary contact for audit clients. (Being proactive, reactive and precautious to clients requests and needs.)
- Responsible for the financial performance and management of a portfolio of audit clients.
- Developing a strong commercial acumen of the client's businesses and development within it.
- The completion of projects within agreed budgets and time, while identifying potential business opportunities.
- Responsible for the firm's risk management and quality control procedures.
- Playing a pivotal role in recruitment, development, retention and motivation of the team.
- Acting as the firm's ambassador by participating in office marketing events.
What you'll need to succeed
The right candidate must be ACCA or ACA qualified, or alternatively must demonstrate notable qualification by experience and should be able to demonstrate significant previous experience in managing a range of audit clients. Preferably, you should have knowledge of audit testing such as consolidations, statutory accounts, and disclosure and group audits and should have strong leadership skills, with the ability to give directions and constructive criticism. The successful candidate will be solution orientated and should have a progressive and committed attitude towards the professional career. Key technical skills:
- Knowledge of UK GAAP and Company Law
- Working knowledge of FRS 102/ FRS102 1a /ISA's.
- IT literate and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
