A great opportunity to join an internationally renowned PLC in a highly commercial role.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional with high levels of commercial acumen to join a profitable division of a business that has recently won a multi-year contract worth hundreds of millions of pounds.
To successfully deliver in this wide-ranging role you will need to have:
- An ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with 5+ years PQE in a blue chip environment
- Very strong commercial acumen, an eye for detail and experience in working on long term/high value contracts
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with non-finance professionals
- Experience of working on public sector contracts will be viewed as a distinct advantage
- Great communication (both written and oral), excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to be an effective influencer in a large matrix environment
A little more information on the role:
- You will be working closely with the Divisional Head of Commercial Finance and wider business teams to fully understand all commercial aspects of the contract.
- You will play a key role in ensuring that any commercial issues are properly logged, processed and successfully concluded.
- You will develop close working relationships with both the operational and client commercial teams
- You will drive business performance by providing high quality commercial support, supporting all commercial negotiations with clients
- Understand and challenge current business practice, identify and implement initiatives to improve processes
- You will undertake contract profitability analysis, providing insight to wider teams on opportunities and risks.
