Axon Moore are working with a fast-paced PE-backed business to recruit an Operations Finance Manager. The business is primed for a period of organic growth having invested extensively in recent years and now is a great time to join them to further your career.
The Operations Finance Manager acts as a business partner in providing operational and commercial support and challenge to the following areas of the business; Distribution Centre, Last-mile, Customer Services, Supply Chain and Quality.
Key duties will include:
• Provision of financial insight into each of the operational areas of the business, recommending problem solving & profit enhancement initiatives and assessing investment opportunities
• Business partnering with the Head of Supply Chain and Senior Operational Management – driving improved management of inventory across the organisation
• Leading review and development meetings to support improved behaviours across Operations, Quality and Customer Services
• Management and ongoing development of a Financial Analyst
• Budgeting and forecasting / re-forecasting for operational areas
• Reporting for the board pack and board meetings with responsibility for the operational aspects of the board pack
Key experience / skills:
• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) preferred
• Relevant experience of driving operational performance in a fast-paced organisation preferred
• A background within retail, FMCG, logistics or distribution would be especially useful
• Experience of stock accounting and an understanding of its bearing on working capital movements is greatly preferred
• You will need to be a strong finance business partner who can demonstrate previous influence over operational decision making
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills are essential
The role will pay a salary of £50-55,000, with bonus of upto 30%, plus a benefits package.
