Systems Project Accountant

The Opportunity:

I’m currently working with a Private Equity backed insurance business based in Cambridgeshire that is soon to upgrade the Group’s accounting system from Sage 50 to Sage 200c. You will support the Group Financial Controller by co-ordinating the project and being very hands on with the data migration. Ultimately, this is a great opportunity for someone who is systems-savvy, capable of hitting the ground running and looking to deliver real value in a short-term project.

The Role:

• You will assist with the set-up of Sage 200 and co-ordinate the project, working closely with the Group Financial Controller with very little ‘hand holding’.
• You will be hands on with cleansing and reviewing the data in Sage 50 and exporting it into Sage 200.
• Assist with the restatement of prior year data for comparison.
• Perform efficient and accurate reconciliation work.
• Ensure the VAT codes are set up appropriately to enable partial VAT calcs to be performed on a periodic basis.
• Assist with the set-up of new management reporting packs with the 200c excel integration package.
• Develop a manual to enable future user-training.

The Requirements:

• I’m ideally looking for a qualified finance professional but I’m willing to discuss this role with those who are QBE with sufficient systems experience.
• You must have solid, proven systems implementation experience. Ideally Sage 200 and Sage 50 (as a legacy system).
• Strong ability to manipulate data and comfortable with importing/exporting data between systems.
• Excellent communication skills to fit within the current team.
• Available within 2 weeks.
