Our client is a global leader in the business services arena, who are currently experiencing a significant period of growth and business transformation. They are looking for a commercially minded Financial Reporting Manager on an initial 9 month FTC due to an internal move to ensure monthly financial figures are reported correctly in line with compliance standards. You will also offer financial business support through analysis and manage a team of 2 accountants.

Principle Responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Manager:

  • Reporting the monthly results using NAV and OneStream (P&L and Balance Sheet) and additional reports as required in accordance with the UK deadlines set
  • Specs completion, and in particular, Portfolio analysis
  • Validation checks on month end uploads and queries from management, UK and CPH
  • FDM maintenance (i.e. ensuring mapping between NAV and OneStream is updated each month / as and when necessary)
  • Forecasting and Budgets upload support into NAV and OneStream
  • Supporting the business in Budget submissions for Forecast and Budgets
  • Finance administrator Super user access (NAV / OneStream)
  • Recharges (UK and KA1 & SS) - Ensure all monthly central regular journals, accruals, postings are completed to monthly deadlines set via Financial Accountants
  • Oversee Fixed Asset Register via Financial Accountants
  • Review and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
  • Quarterly VAT returns review and submission
  • Payments approvals (CHAPS, BACS, Cheques)
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as and when required
  • Report building and support (i.e. Tableau)
  • Manage and ensure the development of Financial Accountants
  • Support projects such as NAV implementation etc.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties required

  • The ability to communicate and work effectively with operation and teams at all levels.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA)
  • Past experience desirable, in; Corporate Reporting, business support and analysing financial aspect of large business
  • Ability to manage a financial framework with an appreciation of modern business processes and a commitment to best practice
  • Numerate, accurate and confident with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise workloads
  • A high focus on accuracy
  • A clear understanding of the need for confidentiality
  • A high level of computer literacy, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of focus on the achievement of targeted results
  • Essential to work in a well-organised and orderly manner
  • A high level of flexibility and a positive attitude to innovation and change

The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar role involved in monthly reporting, forecasting as well as liaising with stakeholders. You will be a qualified accountant with ideally around 1-3 years PQE, have excellent system skills including Excel and ideally some ERP systems including Navision, SAP, HFM or Cognos etc. You will have previous experience managing a small team and come from a fast paced pressured environment.
