Plant Accountant

I am working in partnership with my client, who are an international, specialist manufacturer. They have presence in the UK and internationally, and a portfolio of well-known customers in more than 60 countries. Following a successful MBO, the business has strengthened its management team and board, and more than tripled in size.

After heavily investing in new property and machinery, the business is looking to bolster its finance team. They are recruiting an Accountant with manufacturing experience, to provide financial support and business partner with the operations team reviewing monthly costs and stock movement. The Plant Accountant will prepare and analyse cost of sales for the organisation looking at actual costs and ensuring accurate expected cost profiles.

The role will work on ad hoc projects including sensitivity analysis, investment evaluation techniques, assist with make/buy decisions and monitoring effects of outsourcing.

My client are looking for a individual who has experience within a manufacturing environment and understanding of standard costing processes and stock control.
