As a leading UK specialist Business Services & Project management group, this fast-expanding business is responsible for project and services delivery across a broad range of client sectors. Integral to on-going success is the commercial projects control and related contracts within the projects. As a result, the group seeks a part qualified or qualified by experience accountant to undertake a Financial Modeller role. Offering a financial modelling support service to a portfolio of SPC-Special Purpose Contracts, your brief includes:

•Ensuring financial models are updated & reconciled to project statutory & management accounts
•Logging & update of financial models to comply with protocols & procedures
•Provision of change analysis on changes to key project dynamics to stakeholders
•Ensuring model forecasts are reflected accurately in SAP
•Supporting value enhancing initiatives on projects
•Liaison with managers to confirm that actual reported data is prepared to support financial model & preparation of budget updates
•Interpret results of financial models to identify errors & provide summary analysis
•Developing, upgrading & improving models from existing standard templates
•Understanding & explaining effect of macro-economic changes to overall shareholder return
•Understanding how ratios are affected by movements in working capital & other cash movements
•Forecasting modelled cash movements to ensure sufficient cash is maintained
•Assisting with reviews of major maintenance costs over project life cycle
•Providing sensitivity analysis on models & testing robustness to adverse movements

As a Part Qualified or qualified by experience/QBE accountant with 1-3 years financial modelling experience, you will be adept at using complex Excel models to VBA level and demonstrate a strong understanding of Profit & Loss, balance sheet and financial analysis alongside commercial flair, an eye for detail and the ability to develop robust relationships with key stakeholders.
