A leading North West Accountancy Practice has a requirement for a Corporate Finance Executive in their Liverpool or Manchester office.

The role includes involvement in opportunities where the Company acts for the owners and directors of SME businesses primarily across the North West region. The scope of the role will focus on the execution of transactions and "hands on" involvement in other projects such as fundraising and valuations.

Roles & Responsibilities

Play a key role in the delivery of a variety of corporate finance assignments, primarily in the £1m - £20m transaction value space, including MBOs, MBls, M&A, fundraising, private equity transactions and due diligence.

Key tasks will include-:

  • Preparation of business plans. Information Memoranda, valuation reports and other corporate finance documents;
  • Development of materials to support new work pitches and as part of presenting project information and results to clients, target buyers/vendors and funding providers
  • Design, development and use of computer models to produce financial projections and analyses
  • Completing KYC and client set up processes.
  • All deliverables to be subject to Corporate Finance Manager and Partner review
  • Work with Corporate Finance Researchers and support staff and co-ordinate/direct their work as necessary
  • Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with wider support staff and other external advisers.

Attributes, Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree level academic background.
  • Qualified Accountant with a sound understanding of SME accounting processes
  • Good inter-personal skills with the ability to present and explain financial information to non­ financial clients
  • Some experience of corporate finance work;
  • Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Good report writing computer modelling skills.
  • Independent thinker with the ability to identify problems and contribute to the development of solutions.
  • Ability to work on a range of projects simultaneously to demanding timetables.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious self-starter willing to take advantages of the opportunities this position offers, but also a team player.
  • Experience of working in and managing small teams.
