Financial Controller

Are you a qualified accountant looking to develop your career in a dynamic, privately owned SME in the building/construction sector?

Our client, a well-established and expanding SME, is looking to recruit a Financial Controller who will take ownership of the finance function and be responsible for the production of timely and accurate monthly reporting. This is both a hands on and leadership role and further responsibilities will include:

*Monthly management accounts
*Statutory accounts preparation
*Forecasting and budgeting
*Development of financial systems and processes
*Cash management
*Payroll and VAT

The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre and a qualified Accountant. Experience of accounting under UK GAAP is essential as is demonstrable experience in developing financial systems and processes. Excellent communication and inter personal skills are essential also as this position reports directly to the board of directors. Use of SME finance systems such as Sage Line 50/100 is critical.

You will also be a proven leader with experience managing a small finance team whilst also be very hands on with the accounts production. Experience in an SME as a Finance Manager or Controller is essential.
