Your new firm are a long-standing Chartered Accountancy firm who are looking to add an Audit Supervisor to their team. With 8 partners and approximately 50 staff over 2 central belt offices, you will be joining an intimate and friendly yet thriving CA firm, which focuses on quality client service and staff well-being. Your new role
As an Accounts and Audit Supervisor, you will be managing a portfolio of audit and accounts clients including sole traders, limited companies and partnerships. You will be the lead audit senior for the Edinburgh office, which will include supporting junior staff and assisting the Managers in carrying out file reviews for a selection of accounts clients. You will be responsible for leading the external audit from planning through to fieldwork to file completion of some of the larger Edinburgh based audit clients. There will be a mix of on site and in office audit work which will take place between April and August. You will also be responsible for preparing some annual accounts and corporation tax computations for limited companies and charities. The firm can offer excellent progression opportunities with real routes to partnership for the right person.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you must be comfortable in a client facing role as there will be high levels of client contact. You must be a fully qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/ACA) and must have previous experience working in a chartered accountancy firm with at least 1 year post qualified experience. You must have a detailed understanding of accounting principles, along with a strong knowledge of financial reporting and FRS102 (as applied to charities and housing associations).
