Management Accountant
£35k DOE
One of the worlds leading provider of airport assist services is currently seeking a management accountant.
As Management Accountant you will support the Head of Finance in developing a best in class Finance function. You will produce robust monthly management accounts, post accruals and prepayments, assist with updated forecasts and annual budgets, support and identify cost saving opportunities and coach and develop more junior staff. It is envisaged that within 3 months you will also take over payroll responsibilities.
You will need to be able to demonstrate relevant experience, excellent communication, IT and reporting skills.
Duties include:-
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Commission calculations
- Supervision & delegation of tasks to team members (currently a team of 2 FTE)
- Calculating and posting monthly journals including accrued income, provisions, accruals and prepayments
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing the fixed asset register
- On-site business partner to all operation leaders and ad-hoc analysis to support decision making as required
- VAT compliance and returns
- Preparation for year end and interim audit visits and completion of tax pack information
Theyt currently use Sage Line 50, Salesforce and excel based reporting templates. We are focused on maximising our capabilities and will continue to explore opportunities.You will be directly supporting the Head of Finance with ongoing projects and developing best practice.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Ability to apply knowledge and take a fresh perspective to problems solve.
- Ability to interact well with people at all levels within the business.
- Strong IT skills - Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint.
- Sage experience advantageous, however other accounting software experience will be viewed favourably.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with a sound attention to detail and an ability to deliver to deadlines.
- Formal accounting qualifications are required.
