Accountant - Sheffield

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting an Accountant for a successful £40m turnover business in Sheffield.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the main purpose of the role will be to assist the Financial Controller in the day-to-day management of the Accounts Department, including month end, management accounts and statutory reporting.


Responsibilities will include:

- Experience with EC Sales / Intrastat
- Inter-company reconciliations
- Dealing with multi-currency - euro, SU dollar, Japanese Yen
- Assisting with month/year end accounts preparation - accruals, prepayments, journals etc.
- Assisting with management accounts preparation
- Sales & Variance analysis
- Dealing with stakeholders and board members
- Monthly reconciliations
- Providing support to the Commercial Department
- Regular updates to the company cashbook
- Cash flow forecasting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Dealing with company expenses
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
- Over-seeing and consolidation of Purchase, Sales, General Ledgers

Key Skills / Experience
- Part / Newly qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA
- Strong Excel skills
- Proven experience in a similar role
