Senior Manager / Associate Director

Senior Manager / Associate Director opportunity for an ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant offering ownership of a client portfolio, involvement in practice management and long term career progression to Director.

A growing Chartered Accountancy & Business Advisory Practice which specialises in providing Accounts, Tax and Outsourced Financial Advisory solutions to SME, Owner-Managed and Mid-Market Corporate businesses across Manchester and Lancashire.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The firm is experiencing contnued growth in client numbers and fee income and is now looking to appoint an ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant into a Senior Manager / Associate Director position which will offer responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients / fees, managing and building a team and progressing to Director.

Joining as Senior Manager / Associate Director you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Company clients and leading a team in the preparation and delivery of Year End Accounts / Tax Returns, Cloud Accounting solutions, Management Accounts and Outsource Financial Management. You will also personally handle more complex tax work for clients and ad hoc projects including finance raising, business planning / forecasting exercises and due diligence on acquisitions.

As a Senior Manager within the firm you will meet with new referrals and prospective clients and have the chance to grow your client portfolio as you progress to Director. You will also be involved in Practice Management, sharing responsibilities with the Directors.

Responsibilities as Senior Manager / Associate Director will include:

- Managing a client portfolio (c.£300k fees)

- Overseeing a team responsible for delivering General Accountancy Practice services to Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies typically c.£50k t/o - £5m t/o

- Meeting referrals and prospective clients with the aim of signing them up as new clients

- Supporting the Directors with the running and management of the practice

THE PERSON

You will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following:

- ACA / ACCA Fully Qualified

- Background within small or medium sized Accountancy Practice (min.7-10 years)

- A strong desire to progress your career as far as Director level within a leading Chartered Accountancy Practice
