We are currently recruiting for a Forecasting Data Analyst to join an exciting, successful company based near Tattenhall. Having enjoyed continuous growth they are now in a position to step up their commercial focus with this newly created position; a high-profile role working closely with key stakeholders, customers and senior management to maximise revenues. The post will focus on analysing historic data and trends and forming excellent working relationships with key customers to optimise company performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collate data provided by customers alongside historic data from internal systems in order to produce realistic and accurate forecasts
  • Establish strong working relationships with their customers to ensure the relevant data is received in a timely manner. Review, validate and challenge that data as appropriate.
  • Establish improved ways of collating data efficiently
  • Forecast customer requirements using appropriate tools, working with relevant teams as appropriate to evolve and develop these
  • Provide annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasts to the leadership team, making recommendations to optimise potential revenue streams
  • Highlight to the leadership team any deviations from forecasts that will have a major impact on revenue, product or labour requirements
  • Highlight to the key stakeholders on a weekly basis any deviations from the forecasts that will have an impact on site utilisation or labour requirements
  • Work closely with the Finance and the Commercial Manager to produce the annual sales budget and monthly financial forecasts
  • Measure forecasted versus actual volumes for day to day operations - suggest and execute improvements in the forecasting process to reduce future forecasting variances.
  • Feedback to the Commercial Team any key deviations between customers forecasted volumes and actual volumes.
  • Provide the Commercial Team with key data, measures, and KPI's for customer review meetings.
  • Provide support to the Finance Team in areas of financial forecasting and budgeting


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Management reporting experience in a sales environment with a sizeable customer base
  • IT skills to develop, as well as manage, reporting tools and models which rely on multiple data sources with different data sets to be combined e. Access, advanced Excel, Business Object/Business Intelligence moving towards as a legacy but moving towards Qlik Sense
  • Excellent communication skills to relay key findings and performance metrics to stakeholders - both via reports and verbally
  • Highly numerate
  • Ability to summarise and contextualise high volumes of data - understand what it means to the business, what is valuable information to report on and what should be left out
  • Highly committed to quality and accuracy
