Interim Financial Accountant - NHS
Your new organisation
Our client is a division of the NHS in Wales. Following structural changes they are recruiting for a temporary Financial Accountant to further strengthen their finance department.
Your new role
Based just outside of Cardiff you will supervise a team of 3 and work with the Head of Financial Accounting to produce the monthly VAT return and provide guidance to colleagues on VAT matters. Ensure there is proper cash flow management in place - this includes the planning and reporting of cash flow. Assist Head of Financial Accounting in preparation of monthly and yearly accounts including whole of government accounts packs. Produce monthly reports such as purchase to pay, cash flow and capital. Maintain fixed asset ledger and carry out any other reasonable duties within finance team and provide cover.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a fully qualified accountant with experience of working within a team in production of year end accounts in a large organisation. It is essential that you have advanced Excel skills, possess demonstrable accounting experience and have a flexible approach to tasks. Knowledge of Oracle/NHS accounting systems would be desirable.

Starting in mid -September, your new role will run for approximately 3 months but is likely to be extended. There may also be the opportunity of being taken on as a permanent member of staff for the right person.
