Having won a multi million pound contract that will lead to double digit growth, now is a great time to join my Spalding based client as a Management Accountant.

With an autonomous culture, and family friendly feel, this offers a real chance to be at the heart of the accounts team and have exposure to
a wide range of duties.

If you are inquisitive, like to have a full over view of the business and feel comfortable liasing with all departments, this could be the perfect Management Accountant role.

Key duties of the Management Accountant include:

• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Cash flow forecasting and managing the working capital position
• Gross margin analysis to ensure all business is generating the expected profit
• Monitoring of stock levels and the reporting of findings to product managers
• Management of the ForEx position of the Group
• Weekly and monthly performance reporting
• Interrogating the ERP system to a transactional level of detail to resolve ad hoc financial queries as they arise
• Payments signatory for weekly payment runs
• To liaise with auditors during the fieldwork stage of the external audit
• Support to Financial Director, Financial Controller and Directors as required
• Any other duties that may be required

Progression for this Management Accountant role is likely to take the form of a finance manager, or project role in the near-medium future.

Knowledge and Skill Required of the Management Accountant:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), either ambitious passed finalists/ recently qualifieds, or those with more PQE experience will be considered.
• Experience of working in a commercial environment for at least 2 years, preferably within the food industry but this is not essential
• A resilient individual with the drive and desire to use their initiative and see tasks through to a favourable conclusion
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate confidently with stakeholders of all levels
• Highly organised and able to work to deadlines
