Purpose of the Director Finance and Administration Role: 

Key member of the Senior management team in controlling relevant financial, production, logistics, buying and internal sales information to proactively highlight cost improvements and opportunities, leading to the implementation of the improvements across the business.

Duties of the Director Finance and Administration role: 

• Working as key member of the Senior Management team in forming and enforcing an appropriate strategic direction designed to drive continued profitability at an operational level. 
• Pro-actively manage a team of 35 employees across 6 departments with 8 direct reports. 
• Gain a thorough understanding of the business and our market to provide full support in terms of accounting expertise. This role is varied, rewarding and challenging and provides a platform for real contribution within a fast-paced and commercial work environment. 
• Providing information to aid key strategic decision making and formulating business strategies 
• Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions and assess ways of improving business performance
• Establishing strong relationships across the business and interpret and communicate financial data to both financial and non-financial managers

Qualifications required of the Director Finance and Administration role: ​

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience working as head of finance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability and willingness to learn the full production process used in the company, the workings of the IT systems in use, the financial reporting procedures of the company and the required group procedures for financial control.
• High level of IT capability required in Microsoft Packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience of ERP system
• Microsoft Dynamics desirable
• Basic German language skills may be desirable
