A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join Capita Resourcing, which is part of The Capita Group Plc.
The role will be predominantly based in Maidenhead but there may be a requirement to travel to our other sites in London/ Basingstoke on an Ad-Hoc basis.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner (SFBP), the Management Accountant will cover various aspects of the Business Units reporting and play a critical role within the Finance Team.
Specific responsibilities will cover:
- Provide pro-active support to the SFBP on a weekly and month end basis including but not limited to:
- Preparing the GP Report on a weekly basis and reporting these to senior management.
- Prepare and review the monthly commissions file
- Monthly forecasting meetings with the Sales Directors
- Month End preparation, reporting and variance analysis
- Reviewing WIP and Debtors, including reviews with the Account Managers
- Headcount tracking and analysis
- Monthly reconciliation and review of postings to the balance sheet
- Providing support to offshore Finance team
- Ad Hoc reporting requirements
- Meet internal and group reporting deadlines
- Provide meaningful, value adding analysis on issues impacting the business both current and future
- Assisting in the preparation of annual budget setting process
- Review current processes and update/improve as required
- Assist the SFBP and wider team with day-to-day finance operations and queries as necessary
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
· Advanced excel user, who is able to maintain and develop financial models
· Creative thinker, with an aptitude and desire for driving change and improving processes
· Team player who is flexible and enthusiastic to make a contribution to the company
· Ability to manage own workload and prioritize effectively.
· Ability to influence decision making process through clear presentation of financials
· Confidence to liaise with and develop relationships with the wider business and senior management
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Strong communication skills
Desirable
Prior experience of SAP or a similar EPR system and related business processes is strongly recommended
