Accountant - Temp to Perm

£38000 - £45000 per month + Benefits 

Broster Buchanan are working in partnership with our very successful manufacturing client based in Harlow for an Interim Accountant on a temp to perm position. This is a newly created finance positon due to the continued growth of the business.

Key deliverables of the Accountant:

• Preparation of all relevant European VAT returns
• Liaising with external indirect tax advisers to ensure returns are submitted accurately and on time
• Preparation of all EC Sales Lists and Intrastat returns for European Group companies, passing to an external adviser for submission
• Performance of monthly VAT balance sheet reconciliations
• Assistance with VAT audits where applicable
• Assistance with improvement of existing processes and system enhancements

• Competent in VAT accounting requirements
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and to manage multiple prioritie
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to contribute to a culture of excellence, integrity and accountability
• Able to function effectively in a changing environment
• Operational VAT Compliance experience
• Good understanding of finance and accounting principles
• IT literate with experience in accounting systems (e. SAP essential) and highly proficient in Microsoft products including Excel
