The Audit Semi-Senior will be responsible for:
- All aspects of planning including resourcing, coordinating manager and partner, budgets, client meetings and visits
- Performing an assessment of systems and controls & identifying risks as a result of this review
- Highlighting risk areas for further audit investigation
- Producing a work programme for the assignment tailored to the risks associated with the client
- Producing the Audit Strategy Memorandum (ASM) & be involved in the delivery of this to the client
- Reviewing work and providing informal feedback throughout the fieldwork stage, ensuring issues are highlighted & resolved before manager review
- Acting as point of contact for both manager & client, ensuring both are kept informed of any issues arising and the progress of the audit
- Building strong working relationships with clients
- Communicating with all other departments (e.g. tax, outsourcing) & passing on all relevant information
- Ensuring completion of Financial Statements, including completion of disclosure checklist and closedown of audit files
