My client, a renowned and sought after Top 10 firm, is looking for an analytical and driven individual to work on a broad range of clients, covering a number of sectors, ranging from owner managed businesses up to fully listed companies. Working within a friendly environment at the company's modern and sophisticated offices located in Liverpool, this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced auditor who is studying towards their qualification.

The Audit Semi-Senior will be responsible for:

  • All aspects of planning including resourcing, coordinating manager and partner, budgets, client meetings and visits
  • Performing an assessment of systems and controls & identifying risks as a result of this review
  • Highlighting risk areas for further audit investigation
  • Producing a work programme for the assignment tailored to the risks associated with the client
  • Producing the Audit Strategy Memorandum (ASM) & be involved in the delivery of this to the client
  • Reviewing work and providing informal feedback throughout the fieldwork stage, ensuring issues are highlighted & resolved before manager review
  • Acting as point of contact for both manager & client, ensuring both are kept informed of any issues arising and the progress of the audit
  • Building strong working relationships with clients
  • Communicating with all other departments (e.g. tax, outsourcing) & passing on all relevant information
  • Ensuring completion of Financial Statements, including completion of disclosure checklist and closedown of audit files

Applicants should be part-qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA or equivalent and have experience of working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate practical experience of applying international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
