Assistant Management Accountant

Adele Carr Financial Recruitment is a specialist Accountancy Recruiter to the North West Market. Currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant based in Liverpool.

As part of the Accounts team, the Assistant Management Accountant will play a key role across many levels within the Finance Team, ranging from supporting the Management Accountant through reconciliations/analysis work to essential administration roles.

The Role

• Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
• Production of key Month End analysis and reports including Revenue/COS/Margin analysis, other direct COS analysis, Accruals, Prepayments, Commissions & Deferred income.
• All analysis work is Multi-currency.
• Vat, EU Sales List, Intrastat & US Sales & Use tax returns.
• Expenses analysis using Concur
• Overtime analysis via timesheets to support payroll
• Supporting the Purchase Ledger function as required, including holiday cover.
• Monthly reviews of the P&L and Balance Sheet with the Finance Director.
• Liaising with different departments to resolve issues highlighted during month-end analysis.
• Provide ad-hoc support/documentation as required.

Essential Experience and Skills

• Relevant experience as an Assistant Management Accountant, with a focus on preparation of the monthly management accounts through analysis & reconciliations.
• Ability to learn a wide variety of software packages.
• Competent in Microsoft Office Packages, especially Excel.
• Ability to take ownership of problems and prioritise workloads.
• Attention to detail & ability to meet deadlines
• Good communicator.

Desirable Experience and Skills

• AAT qualified or studying CIMA.
• Winman SSL experience.
• Educated to A-level standard, with good English and Maths skills.
• Multi-currency experience.

With your eye on the detail, you will be able to take on any task required to support the production of accurate and timely Management Accountants
