My client is an established and experienced provider of fund and corporate services who have just expanded their Luxembourg office.  They are now looking for an experienced Accountant to join the team in Luxembourg.  The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for all aspects of day-to-day accounting for one or more assigned funds. You will work closely with the Senior Administrator of the Team.

Some of the responsibilities in the role will involve:

·         Perform detailed reviews of cash bookkeeping as required.

·         Prepare NAV/management accounts and annual accounts and ensure that all accounting standards have been met and any exceptions are properly noted and identified

·         Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of accounting standards.

·         Perform monthly/quarterly accruals, investment revaluations and foreign exchange adjustments.

·         Interact professionally with auditors, lawyers, bankers and other third parties.

·         Deal with complex accounting issues and propose action to be taken to senior managers.

·         Liaise with client accounting teams and act professional in all regards.

·         Pro-actively manage workload and support other team members as required.

The right individual will have previous experience and knowledge of accounting within Private Equity Administration or Investment Banking and the following attributes:

·         3-5 years of experience within PE/RE funds (preferably within asset management firms in Luxembourg)

·         Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting principles (Lux GAAP, UK / US GAAP) as well as applicable laws and rules

·         Strong communications skill – must be able to communicate fluently in English (additional languages are welcome – French or German will be an asset)

·         Advanced Excel skills

·         Able to work on own autonomy, with high attention to detail
