AUDIT SENIOR - 12 PARTNER PRACTICE - CITY OF LONDON - MIXED CLIENT BASE - £44000 - £48000 PER ANNUM
Your new company
Your new company is a 12 partner firm of Chartered Accountants, based in London with offices outside of the M25. The firm has an outstanding reputation, both with its clients and within the practice accountancy profession.
Your new role
You will be an Audit Senior reporting to the head of Audit you will be responsible for reviewing the audit and accounts planning, managing the field work process and finalising audits of our corporate clients complying with technical and professional standards. You will be taking the lead throughout on-site fieldwork and audit project management to ensure delivery of a high quality product for manager review, or directly for partner review. You will be preparing and/or reviewing the UK corporation tax returns and supporting computations for corporate clients. You may be asked to work with audit partners on one off assignments in other areas, for example corporate finance and forensic accounting with some ad hoc technical projects from time to time
What you'll need to succeed
You will be approaching ACA/ACCA qualification or recently ACA/ACCA qualified, preferably with first time passes. You will have experience of external audits of small and medium sized enterprises under UK GAAP. Knowledge of Caseware and Alphatax software packages would be advantageous but is not essential. You will have experience of delivering results and adding value to clients. Experience of large consolidations would be advantageous.
It is expected that you will have excellent inter-personal skills to work effectively with Partners and staff at all levels. You will be an effective communicator with both clients and internal staff and will have the ability to handle conflicting demands and/or challenging pressures for resources. You will have proven organisational skills and will be adept at assessing complex financial/operational/compliance processes and assessing risks.
