Description

 

  • Preparation of financial statements under FRS102
  • Basic preparation of Corporation Tax computations.
  • Bookkeeping duties using a variety of accounting software e. Sage, Xero, Exact.
  • Preparation of periodical (monthly/quarterly/bi-annual) management accounts and reporting in required formats.
  • Client VAT Return preparation and submission.
  • Ensuing deadlines are met by taking responsibility of own work and show good organisational skills.
  • Meeting clients face-to-face and developing a good rapport acting in a professional manner.
  • Show good communication skills
  • Offer client's a value added service,
  • Understand client's internal controls and where weaknesses are identified, suggest improvements.
  • Ensure you understand the services the firm can offer and identify areas that a client could benefit from other services - discuss cross selling opportunities with the client Manager/Partner
  • Assist with training of other team member.

 

 

Profile

 

  • Part Qualified ACA/ACCA.
  • 2 years' minimum experience working in an accounting practice with relevant work experience as required.
  • Working and up-to-date knowledge of Sage.
  • High standard of Word and Excel skills/
  • Bookkeeping using Sage/Xero - training can be provided
  • Experience in the preparation of year end accounts from incomplete records through to client sign off.
  • Diligent and attention to detail.
  • Able to work on own initiative, but also be a team player.
  • Able to focus and concentrate in a busy working environment.
  • Manage own workload and ensure deadlines are met.
