An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part qualified Commercial Finance Analyst to join a fast growth, media advertising agency based in Central London on a permanent basis.
This role will see you responsible for all client finance within the agency across core creative services, media and ecommerce. You will be working closely with the client services team at all levels. In addition, you will have exposure to internal and external business and assisting the Finance Director with commercial and procurement tasks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Closely working with Finance Director on quarterly re-forecasting of revenue
- Conducting monthly revenue meetings with client services and project management teams to determine revenue to be recognised each month for specific clients / products, billings and WIP management.
- Working with the agency's Management Accountant during the month-end reporting cycle and assisting with tight deadlines and submission schedules.
- Managing and collating the submission of all monthly client revenue forecasts from Account directors, liaising with and challenging Account Directors on their submissions if necessary
- Ensuring that we have all relevant documentation to recognise revenue across all clients - ie approved Scopes of Work, client purchase orders; collating this documentation
- Work closely with key Account Directors and Project Managers to ensure that jobs are being worked to budget.
- Highlight jobs expected to over-burn and work with the agency to provide solutions and mitigate
Experience Required:
- Previous experience within the advertising industry would be an advantage or a good understanding of professional services industries.
- Experience of NetSuite and OpenAir beneficial.
- Knowledge and experience of revenue recognition will be an advantage.
- Part-qualified, ideally studying CIMA or ACCA.
