A private-equity backed media technology business has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to support the company through the next stage of growth. This rapid-growth software (SaaS) business has a strong corporate client base and is expanding into new markets.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, responsibilities include:

  • Monthly reporting:
  • Production of monthly management accounts/ Board pack Production of investor monthly reporting pack Production of rolling monthly reforecast P&L Revenue reconciliation: review of project and recurring revenue invoicing; project revenue accounting (WIP/ deferred);  recurring revenue recognition   Sales forecasting         
  • Management of cash flow/ budgeting and quarterly forecasting
  • Delivering the annual audit: audit planning, liaising with the audit and tax teams and production of supporting audit and tax schedules.
  • Production of statutory accounts for the business and entities.
  • Managing payroll and company pension scheme.
  •  Review and authorisation of company expenditure.
  • Review of credit control and escalation where necessary.
  • HR: administrator for employee contracts and staff database.
  • Calculation of sales commission.
  • Insurance: annual review of insurance requirements.
  • Maintenance of supplier and client contracts.
  • Quarterly VAT calculation and submission to HMRC.

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who is ‘hands on’, enjoys autonomy and has the gravitas to liaise with senior management across the business.

Previous industry experience of media/ SaaS /technology would be an advantage.
