CFO

Our client is a well-established, privately owned consumer brands business that is potentially looking for external investment very likely to be private equity. This funding will be used to facilitate international growth and further develop both new product and new markets.  The business is already very successful and widely respected in the consumer brands space. As a consequence of some exciting business opportunities the MD is looking to hire a CFO to be both a business partner and key focal point for helping bring in external investment so previous private equity experience is important.  In addition, this role will have responsibility for all aspects of finance within the organisation as well as managing many of the external relationships such as banks, auditors and suppliers.  The successful candidate will certainly have either an understanding of or experience of supply chains, logistics, stock control, licensing contracts and retail relationships to add value to the management team and play a full and strategic role.  This company is a SME so candidates who have experience solely of larger corporates will be unlikely to have the “hands on” experience that is necessary to fulfil this role.  This is certainly an exciting time to join a motivated management team about to embark on a journey of growth and wealth creation.
