Group Accountant

Our client is a significant listed business in the West Midlands and are one of the leading lights in their field and boast a triple-digit EBIT figure. Whilst they are growing organically, the business is highly acquisitive and shows no signs of stopping. To support this growth they are keen to attract a candidate to support them in some of the following areas:

• M&A, financial modelling, company valuations
• Corporate finance activity including working with the bank to finance acquisitions.
• Group reporting - statutory reporting, audit
• Developing meaningful MI tools for use by internal customers
• Defining best in class compliance and control processes
• Project management for any ad-hoc projects that the group finance function leads (corporate governance, tax, transfer pricing, insurance)

Such is the nature of the business that the roles and responsibilities are not strictly defined, and as part of a small group finance function you will all work together. It's rare to find an opportunity that gives you such a breadth of experience, and for an ambitious qualified Accountant is be a fabulous opportunity Whilst you must be qualified (this is non-negotiable), our client is open-minded about whether you have qualified through the ACA, ACMA or ACCA route.
