THE COMPANY:

A leader in their field based in North Leeds, they operate from 6 offices across the UK and are experiencing sustained growth. Due to maternity cover they have a reqirement for a Payroll Administrator for a period of at least 14 months. They are ideally located for candidates in Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, and Harrogate.

 

THE JOB:

Reporting to Head of Payroll, the Payroll Administrator will assist in the administration of the Company payroll function.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collate, calculate and process monthly payroll adjustments.
  • Calculate and process statutory payments and maintain records to include SMP, SSP, SAP and ShPP.
  • Process CSA and attachment orders to include completion of earnings request forms, calculation of monthly payments, deduction statements and issuing of payments to relevant authorities.
  • Assess, calculate and input Auto Enrol Pension Scheme adjustments onto Pegasus payroll system to include employee scheme set up, postponements, opt outs and refunds, ER fixed value adjustments, scheme cancellations and leaver contribution adjustment. Produce monthly pension review and export reports.
  • Upload monthly pension data, run assessments and process opt out/ins and cancellations on AEGON SmartEnrol system. Upload pension payment file onto AEGON SmartPay system and reconcile payments in preparation for payment transfer. Deal with employee pension queries and liaise with pension provider and pension advisor.
  • Maintain payroll Self-Service Module to include new starter set up, leavers and processing of employee data amendments.
  • Under the supervision of the Head of HR provide basic HR administration including set up and amendments to Pegasus Personnel system.
  • Process new starters and leavers to include calculation of monthly adjustments, holiday pay/deductions, P45 checks and allocation of tax codes and input onto Pegasus Payroll system.
  • Generate and submit HMRC RTI reports including monthly FPS, EPS and P32 reports.
  • Produce monthly analysis reports to include reconciliation, nominal reports and KPI stats.
  • Maintain payroll records for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Maintain time and attendance system to include new starter set up, leavers, working pattern and access control adjustments and production of clocking and absence reports.
  • Compliance with our Business Conduct Guidelines and other Group Policies.
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably required.

 

THE PERSON:

Education & Experience

  • Experience of working in a payroll/finance environment preferred, with knowledge of Pegasus Opera system an advantage, although not essential as training provided.
  • Nationally recognised payroll qualification in basic payroll administration preferred but not essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages - Word, Outlook and Excel.
