Temporary Treasury Officer

One of the leading public sector recruiters in the North West is looking to recruit a Treasury Officer on a temporary basis to join its team based in Liverpool. The role will work closely with the Financial Accountant and will be heavily focused on banking, bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, monitoring expenditure and cash management. Please note, the candidate will need to be available at short notice and existing treasury experience is extremely beneficial.

The Treasury Officer will be responsible for:

• Manage cashflow including analysing variances
• Monitoring banking and completing bank reconciliations
• Being the main point of contact for cash collection
• Monitoring and reporting on expenditure
• Producing budgets and detailed forecasts
• Report on investment income, exchange variances, bank charges
• Working on medium to large sized accounting package to hit reporting deadlines
• Using Excel to analyse reporting on cash (vlookups and pivots)

Ideally you will have/be:

• Part qualified / qualified by experience accountant
• Existing treasury experience is extremely beneficial
• Worked in a medium or large sized company an advantage
• Strong cash management and banking expertise is essential
• Immediately available or available at short notice
