Hays Senior Finance are excited to be working in partnership with Synergy Flavours who are a leading global innovator in flavourings, extracts and essences with extensive experience across the food and beverage industry. 

Due to continued growth they are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join their team in High Wycombe. As the Finance Manager you will report directly to the CFO and you will be a key member of the senior management team. You will be responsible for managing a small finance team, providing timely financial information together with financial guidance and support to the business. 

The Finance Manager role: 

This is a pivotal role for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of robust financial operations and the day to day management of the company’s finances including but not limited to review of monthly financial data and preparation of the monthly reports, review of annual financial plans and quarterly forecasts and preparation of accounts. Monitoring and interpreting cash flow projections, preparation of the annual statutory accounts, keeping up to date with changes in financial legislation and collaboration with the Italian and Thailand subsidiaries as well as head office. 

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager role will need to have the following;

• Be a qualified accountant ACCA or equivalent with 5 years PQE experience and previous experience working as a Finance Manager in the manufacturing industry is essential.
• Have strong skills in accounting, financial reporting, communication and have proven management skills. Able to deal with a range of stakeholders, be commercially aware and able to manage a demanding workload, have good attention to detail, knowledge of AX software (desirable not essential) 
• The Finance Manager will have intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
