Director of Financial Reporting

We’re currently supporting a leading Global Insurer on their current search for an EMEA Director of Financial Reporting. This is a very high profile role within a highly regarded business so would suit someone with extensive leadership experience and capabilities. This a newly created role and sits at the heart of the EMEA Finance team.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a continuous improvement mind-set, in relation to all areas of the position including effective leadership and mentorship to key individuals. It is essential that this individual has extensive experience in Financial Reporting and ensuring that the maintenance of an expert level knowledge of all relevant accounting standards and policy changes. Alongside this, the individual must be a fully qualified Accountant and have relevant experience gained within the insurance Industry.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Overall responsibility for all Financial reporting across the region
• Preparation and presentation of quarterly reports to Board
• Management of External Audit process & sign off
• Product of annual Financial reports
• Manage the transition of existing structure to newly outlined structure
• Manage transformation of in Country Financial Control teams to achieve more consistent, effective and accurate reporting processes across the region
• Oversight of Finance team in Shared Service Centre
• Play a large part in continuous improvement to the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure their consistent and accurate production
• Ensuring that the business is compliant with all necessary IFRS/GAAP standards
