Management Accountant

You will be responsible for the day-to-day smooth and efficient running of the financial operations, working alongside the Finance Director to ensure accurate management and financial accounts.

An international marketing agency, part of a wider globally recognised media group. This role is located in their Central London headquarters.

Description

Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

• Prepare weekly supplier payment runs and process staff expense claims and company credit card expenditure

• Raise invoices to customers in accordance with contract terms and assist with credit control

• Reconcile bank statements daily and at month end

• Action and reconcile accruals, prepayments and depreciation at month end

• Assist with the production of the monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts as necessary

• Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts, including liaising with external auditors

• Assist with the quarterly forecast and annual budgeting process

• Prepare quarterly VAT returns

• Administer the project accounting system (WorkflowMax), including monitoring of timesheets

• Deputise for the Finance Director when necessary

Profile

CRITERIA FOR THE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT:

Qualifications

Studying towards an accountancy qualification: ACA/ACCA/CIMA

Skills

Intermediate level MS Excel (formulae, look ups, pivot tables) and numerically competent

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent attention to detail & accuracy

Excellent understanding of finance systems and processes/best practices

Experience

Comfortable with the above duties having done them in a previous role

Experience of working in an media agency environment is preferable

Job Offer

Looking to pay between £30,000-£40,000 dependent on experience with a comprehensive benefits package.
