Assistant Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join our ever-expanding HQ team. You'll assist the Finance Director with the management of all day-to-day monetary operations, overseeing inputs into our accounting software platforms. This role is critical for supporting our financial reporting, budgeting and strategic decision making as we continue our significant growth into 2019 and beyond.

The role:

• You will be responsible for accounts payable and the management of vital supplier relations
• Oversee various bank reconciliations, including the collation of information and documentation from our stores
• Manage our internal PO and personal expenses claims system
• Assist and monitor store cash reconciliations
• Deal with ad-hoc finance queries from HQ personnel and our store managers
• Monitor and prepare budgets & forecasts for regular company meetings
• Build a trusting relationship with internal departments, assisting with receipts and invoice processing
• Assist with payroll set-up, queries and maintenance, liaising with the Retail team to ensure this is carried out efficiently
• Follow strict privacy and Data Protection guidelines at all times when handling sensitive financial information

Who you are:

• You've studied a Finance relevant degree or have previous and recent in-depth accounting experience
• You have Intermediate or Higher level Excel experience and are familiar with Xero or similar accounting software
• You work in a calm, analytical and methodical way
• You're able to juggle multiple projects in a busy work environment
• You enjoy organising, problem-solving and seeing a project grow from strength to strength
• You show great initiative, positivity and determination
• An excellent communicator, written or verbally, and patient when explaining processes to others
