Finance Manager

Finance Manager | PE Firm | London 

We’re currently supporting the Finance Director of a leading UK based Private Equity firm on his search to find an effective Finance Manager as a number 2 to him. The successful candidate will join the business and be exposed to as much of the PE process as possible as the FD looks to develop this individual into someone with a broad experience of the sector, with potential to progress quickly in line with continued business growth.

Some responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Management and effective planning of budgeting and forecasting across the firm
• Production of presentations for investors
• Production of useful and effective investor reports
• Ownership of all the company’s transactional Finance (soon to be supported by an Accounts Assistant)
• Financial modelling of current and potential investments
• Advising on strategy and valuations in relation to the managed funds
• Work closely with and partner the investment team on optimising returns, handling issues and structuring deals
• Preparing, on a regular basis, sets of management and statutory accounts along with relevant analysis
• Various other ad hoc tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will be a practice-qualified accountant looking to make their first move into industry having completed their ACA in the past two years. Given the broad nature of this role, the individual must possess a ‘can-do’ attitude and be willing to get involved with a number of tasks outside of the core role.
