Assistant Accountant

Nordic Speaking Assistant Accountant job paying up to £40k in London. Swedish. Norwegian. Danish. Finnish.

Your new company
A Stock Exchange listed manufacturing business is looking for a Nordic language (Danish, Finnish, Swedish or Norwegian) or Baltic language (Lithuanian, Latvian or Estonian) speaking Assistant Accountant to join their finance team in London. The company specialises within eye-wear and collaborates with some of the world's most iconic brands. With a global distribution in almost 50 countries and their products in 100k stores, the business is going from strength to strength and is competitive in its offering.

Your new role
With the company have a global presence in many countries, you will be given responsibility for 2-3 countries to take complete ownership for. You will be responsible from the transactional level up to month end work. Responsibilities will include purchase ledger management, banking and month/year end tasks such as posting journals, accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliation, fixed assets and assisting in month end close. You will have complete ownership for your respective countries and will be expected to take the finances up to trial balance level.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in a similar role and be comfortable with transactional processing up to month end work. You must be fluent in a Nordic or Baltic language which includes Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian. You will be happy doing a role that includes transactional work up to trial balance level. You must be comfortable using Microsoft Excel, although you do not need to be too advanced.

You will be rewarded with a salary between £30k - £40k, depending on experience and work for a global business that is established and competitive within its market. You will be located in a Central London location that is surrounded by many restaurants, bars and amenities.
