Our client is a household name in the world of Retail. Due to continued growth and expansion they have a requirement for a Group Finance Manager.
Key responsibilities will include supporting finance and business leads to deliver insight and analysis to key stakeholders, ensuring that forecasted costs are reported to the wider finance team at month end, providing oversight and governance to the budgeting, forecasting and capital approval processes, performance analysis and reporting, assisting project managers with onward project forecasts, , driving post investment appraisal reporting, escalating any relevant opportunities or risks to the Finance Director, critically reviewing project performance alongside budget holders, challenging when necessary adverse spend and variances, contributing to the overall business planning process, identifying and rectifying issues with accounting processes.
The successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with demonstrable accounting experience in Group Financial Planning & Analysis. Applicants must be commercially aware with the ability to understand the impact of decisions on the financials, strong balance sheet and cashflow focus will be a priority. Additionally, excellent communication and influencing skills are necessary due to high levels of exposure to senior stakeholders and management. Knowledge of Cognos/Planning Analytics reporting tool would be advantageous.
