Real Estate - Accounts Assistant - Our Client are a well-established property development company based in Central London who deal with both commercial and residential properties. They are now looking for an Accounts Assistant to come on board to assist the accounts team on bookkeeping duties.
The Role:
- Assisting in preparing Management Accounts.
- Performing bank reconciliations and supplier reconciliations.
- Carrying out intercompany recharges.
- Carrying out data entry of sales and purchase ledgers into the accounting system.
- Reviewing, verifying and matching invoices.
- Assisting with VAT returns.
- Preparing and uploading BACS or online payments on a weekly basis.
- Ensuring purchase invoices are processed and filed.
- Assisting in the year end process of the accounting system.
- Obtaining authorisation for payments.
- Filing CIS returns.
- Liaising with suppliers and managing agents.
- Carrying out supplier statement reconciliations.
- Updating and tracking company information.
- Ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Raising intercompany recharges.
- Filling statements and returns with Companies House.
The Person: To apply, you MUST have a degree and c1-3 years[ experience as an Accounts Assistant and looking to continue with your ACCA/CIMA/AAT studies and have prior experience carrying out Bookkeeping duties such as management accounts, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations. You must be proficient in using Sage accounting system (preferably Line 50) and have a positive and proactive attitude to work and be willing to learn.
