The Senior Group Finance Manager role is being recruited due to the fast growing nature of the firm. The position will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the finance function as well as supporting the CFO with the long term planning & growth strategy of the business.

Client Details

The client is a fast growing technology firm based in the West End of London. The client has created their business around developing software to support their customers' HR functions. As well as providing this infrastructure, our client then supports & consults their customers on how to improve employee well being and retention.

 

The firm has offices in over 6 locations worldwide and it generated revenue of £50 million last year with growth projected to be in excess of 20% YoY over the next 5 years.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Senior Group Reporting Manager are as follows:

 

  • Manage the day to day function of the transactional finance team (AP, AR, Credit Control, Assistant Management Accountants).
  • Run and review the month end process conducted by the team and mentor juniors where required.
  • Improve the reporting process to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the management reports provided.
  • Implement and tighten controls around revenue recognition, debtors ledger and cost where necessary.
  • Partner with department heads to attain commentary for the management packs.
  • Present the management accounts to the CFO and the Senior Leadership Team; this will include a full set of financial statements, cash flow forecast, variances to budget & YoY (with commentary) and a KPI dashboard.
  • Take ownership of the annual budget setting process along with monthly re-forecasting as required.
  • Oversee and run the year end process.
  • Act as the main liaison with external stakeholders e. Auditors & tax consultants.
  • Support the new product development & sales teams in the production of business cases using DCF/valuation modelling where necessary.
  • Assist the CFO with the production of the 5 year plan.
  • Ad hoc projects where necessary.

Profile

The successful candidate will have the following profile...

 

Essential:

  • Full accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equiv.)
  • 3+ years post qualified experience.
  • A clear and explainable experience with process improvement / implementing a controls environment.
  • Familiarity with the year end / month end process.
  • Experience in coaching junior staff and reviewing work.
  • Strong communication skills.

 

Desirable:

  • Technology / SaaS industry experience.
  • Transactional team management experience.
  • Familiar with running a full annual budgeting cycle.
  • Exposure to implementing an ERP system.
